Playlist December 27,2002 (Tribute: Joe Strummer/The Clash)

I did a major tribute to Joe Strummer via The Clash (he died this week via a stroke). What I did last night was mix The Clash in with the rest of my stuff, and talked all through the night about why I was playing so much Clash music, and how he died... as well as his contribution to punk rock and socially conscious music. "Tonight's spotlight is a little special, because tonight's spotlight is a tribute to Mary Hansen, the guitarist and back-up singer for StereoLab, who was involved in a fatal cycling accident this past Monday, December 9th. She had been with StereoLab since 1993, and she was a vital part of SteroLab's sound. So this goes out to her family and friends and fans the world over."
